I have lived in East Multnomah County for 19 years with my wife and three children. I have taught at Gresham High School, Corbett High School, Reynolds High School and Mount Hood Community College. At the moment I substitute-teach at local schools while the legislature is not in session. I have also coached wrestling, track, and speech and debate.
I love the communities of East Multnomah County, and I enjoy getting involved. I have served on the Troutdale City Council, the Troutdale Citizens Advisory Committee and the Troutdale Budget Committee, and I helped organize the Troutdale SummerFest for many years.
In the legislature I collaborate with with legislators on both sides of the aisle on bills to help working families, first responders, students, and Oregon's natural areas. I currently chair the House Committee on Education and the House Committee on Higher Education, and I serve on the House Committee on Revenue.
